Stonelick State Park is a park located in Clermont County, Ohio, approximately 25 miles (40 km) east of Cincinnati, Ohio.[2]

Area and location

The park is 1,058 acres (4.28 km2) of land and 200 acres (0.81 km2) of water.[2]

The park is located off Ohio SR 727 in Wayne Township.

History

The land for the park was acquired in 1948, and a dam at the west side of the lake was completed in 1950,[3] which created the lake.[4]

Since the park's inception, there was a wastewater leak that damaged the ecology of the lake.[5] The lake was dredged in the early-mid 1990s to restore the contamination levels of the lake to those that are safe for wildlife and swimming.
