Singapore at the AFC Asian Cup

Singapore national football team has only participated in one AFC Asian Cup, during 1984 tournament which they hosted and the only time they played in the big stage of the continent.[1] Their best performance is also just the group stage, and won only one match against India.

Regarded as a much weaker team in Asia, Singapore nonetheless produced several shock results in the qualifying campaigns, such as 1–1 draw to giant Iran in 1984 edition, when Iran had previously won three titles. However, Singapore is considered to have no luck for the Asian Cup.
