Sanphebagar Airport (IATA: FEB, ICAO: VNSR) is an airport in Sanphebagar in the Achham District of the Seti Zone in Nepal. The airport is not currently out of operation. In February 2002, the terminal building was destroyed in a Maoist attack in February 2002. It is currently being restored and updated and is supposed to reopen in June 2018.[4][5]

History

In 1967, the Airport was first constructed only having a Grass/Clay runway. It came into operation in 1977. However, flights have been halted until 2018.[5]

Facilities

The airport resides at an elevation of 250 feet (76 m) above mean sea level. Since the renovation of the airport in 2018, the airport has one asphalt runway which is 530 metres (1,739 ft) in length.[3]

Airlines and destinations

Summit Air has shown interest to provide scheduled services to Sanphebagar once the airport is fully operational.[5]
