The British Cruiserweight Championship is a professional wrestling championship owned by the Revolution Pro Wrestling (RPW) promotion. The title was created and debuted on October 13, 2012.[1]
The current champion is David Starr, who is in his first reign as champion.
Title history
The first champion was Mark Haskins, the then-Real Quality Wrestling's Cruiserweight Championship. RevPro recognizes the RQW Cruiserweight Champions as RPW British Cruiserweight Champions until Rockstar Spud vacated the title due to inactivity. Then, both titles splits their lineages. To crown a new champion, RevPro hosted a 8-man tournament, won by Marty Scurll. During Will Ospreay's reigns, he travelled to Japan to work with New Japan Pro Wrestling, so RevPro hosted a match to crown an interim champion, won by the two-time champion Josh Bodom. On April 13, 2017, Bodom defeated Ospreay to become three-time champion.
