Paliganj is a City in Patna district. It is Sub-Division of Patna Districts and an Assembly Constituency in Patna district in the Indian State of Bihar. In the Census of 2011, Paliganj has 254,904 of population and approx 50 K.M. distance form Patna town.

Politics

In 2015 state assembly election Jai Vardhan Yadav(RJD) defeated Ram Janm Sharma(BJP)with a margin of 24453 votes[1]. Paliganj Assembly Constituency is part of Pataliputra (Lok Sabha constituency).[2]

Tourism

Ular Sun Temple is situated at a distance of 12km from Paliganj. It is a historical sun temple and people believe that this temple one of the twelve sun temples built by King Samb on the advice of God Krishna. Another monument in this region is Mughal age library situated at Bharatpura This library is known as Gopal Narayan Public Library.
