Nissin Kogyo (日信工業株式会社 Nisshin Kōgyō Kabushiki-gaisha) is a Japanese automotive parts company that specializes in the manufacture of braking systems. The company was founded in 1953 and is listed on the first section Tokyo Stock Exchange. As of March 2017, the company had 1.54 billion dollars[2] in revenue and 9,557 employees.[3] Honda Motor Company is the largest shareholder, owning 34.6 percent of total shares.
Nissin Kogyo is headquartered in Nagano, Japan with subsidiary manufacturing plants in Ohio,[4] Georgia, USA,[5] Mexico,[6] Brazil,[7] India,[8][9] Thailand, Vietnam and China.
In 2016, Nissin Kogyo created Autoliv Nissin Brake Systems, a joint subsidiary with Swedish automotive safety manufacturer Autoliv.[10][11]
