Nana Falgunrao Patole (Marathi: नाना फाल्गुनराव पटोले) (born 5 June 1963), popularly known as Nanabhau (Marathi: नानाभाऊ), is an Indian politician. A former Member of the Parliament of India[3] (the 16th Lok Sabha), he represented the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).[4] He represented the Bhandara-Gondiya constituency in Maharashtra.[5] In 2017, he resigned from BJP and the Lok Sabha. On 11 January 2018 he joined Congress party.[6]

Political career

In the 2014 Lok sabha elections, he contested the constituency as the BJP /NDA candidate and won. He defeated the central union minister Shri Praful Patel by 149,254 votes.[7] He was also Member of the Legislative Assembly for Sakoli. He fights for OBC and was the leader of the opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly[8] Patole has resigned from his Loksabha Membership by submitting his resignation letter to Loksabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajen.
