Matt Michels (born 1960) is the 38th and current Lieutenant Governor of South Dakota and a former Speaker of the South Dakota House of Representatives. He and running mate Dennis Daugaard were elected in the general election on November 2, 2010[1][2] and reelected on November 4, 2014. Michels is a Republican.
