Delineation

Lorne Parish is defined in the Territorial Division Act[3] as being bounded:

Northeasterly and northerly by Northumberland and Restigouche Counties; south by Gordon Parish; and northwesterly by the prolongation to the county of Restigouche of the line forming the northwesterly boundary of Gordon Parish, which runs a course north forty-five degrees east from the point on the Royal Road[lower-alpha 1] eight miles north of the Tobique River.
