Kron Prinz  Germany Grounded on the outside of a narrow channel around a tight bend, whilst entering the River Avon to Bristol. Then fell over as the tide ebbed, and blocked the river channel. Demasted to clear the channel, then refloated three weeks later and repaired.[2][3][4]

Alma  Norway The ship was wrecked on the Sizewell Bank, in the North Sea off the coast of Suffolk, United Kingdom. All thirteen people on board were rescued by the Aldeburgh Lifeboat and the Southwold Lifeboat.[5]

Rydall Hall Unknown The 1,780-ton ship sank despite being taken in tow by the Queen of the Bay while off the Seven Stones Reef. She lost most of her head gear while on her maiden voyage from San Francisco with a general cargo. The packet ship received £150.[7]

The screw sloop-of-war was wrecked in fog off Miquelon Island with the loss of one life. The gunvessel HMS Woodlark = Royal Navy) saved the rest of her crew.[8][9][10]

The unprotected cruiser was wrecked on a reef off Wallis Island with the loss of two lives. The screw sloop-of-war HMS Dido ( Royal Navy) arrived to assist her survivors on 20 July.[11]
Nick King  United Kingdom The sidewheel paddle steamer sank near Darien, Georgia, and the mouth of the Altamaha River.[12]
