List of power stations in Rwanda

The following page lists all power stations in Rwanda. The country is in the midst of a rapid expansion of its electrical grid and many new plants are proposed or under construction. Rwanda is planning to expand from 45 MW of grid power in 2006 to 563 MW in 2018 and may import up to an additional 450 MW from neighboring countries. As of February 2015, national generation capacity totaled 153 megawatts.[1][2][3] By December 2015, national generation capacity stood at 186MW with peak demand of 105MW.[4] As of January 2017 national generation capacity had increased to 208MW.[5][6]
