Kalanchak (Ukrainian: Каланчак) is an urban-type settlement in Kherson Oblast, Ukraine. [1] It serves as the administrative center of Kalanchak Raion. Population: 9,2,747 (2015 est.)[2]
The settlement was founded in 1794 as a home for exiled participants in the Turbai uprising.[3]
