The Jasidih Junction, station code JSME, is the railway station serving the city of Jasidih in the Deoghar district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

Administration

Jasidih Junction is part of the Asansol Division of the Eastern Railway Zone of the Indian Railway.

Line and location

Jasidih Junction is connected to metropolitan areas of India, Delhi-Kolkata Main Line via Mugalsarai-Patna route. Jasidih is located at 24°19′N 86°23′E / 24.31°N 86.39°E / 24.31; 86.39.[2] It has an average elevation of 271 metres (889 ft). The 72 kilometres (45 mi) segment from Jasidih to Dumka became operational on 12 July 2011.[3]
