India International School in Japan
Responding to the Indian IT boom in Japan, India International School in Japan opened its doors in 2004. Its current campus is an unrenovated, former Japanese elementary school in Koto-ku.
Curriculum
Hindi classes are conducted in Hindi while English is the educational medium of other classes.[1]Its curriculum is based on standards set by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India.
Hindi, however, isn't the only language available. You can choose one from a variety of Tamil (native teacher), Nepali (native), and of course, Hindi.
The school not only emphasises academics but also physical education. Students may participate in co-curricular activities for an additional fee. The school has two laboratories; one is the science lab and the retro-computer lab with windows software and more than 50 seats and computers.
Student Body
As of 2018, the Tokyo Campus of IISJ has more than 1,000 students with children from various nationalities i.e. Japan, Pakistan, and India of course.
