Imeretinsky (Georgian: იმერეტინსკი; Russian: Имеретинский) is a title and later the surname of the Georgian royal family branch of the Bagrationi dynasty that ruled the Kingdom of Imereti.^[1]

Solomon II of Imereti was the last Georgian king of Imereti before it was annexed by the Russian Empire in 1810. The name "Imeretinsky" (also spelled Imeretinski or Imeretinskii) derives from the Russian language, originally and literally meaning "of Imereti".

Since Solomon II of Imereti had no sons, he proclaimed Prince Constantine, son of king David II of Imereti, and his male-line descendants as heirs to the throne of Kingdom of Imereti. This point was confirmed by Russian Imperial Crown at 1804 in Elaznauri agreement.

After death of Hereditary Prince Constantine (b.1898 – d.1978), the headship of the House of Bagrationi-Imereti transmitted to Prince Irakli Bagrationi (I), son of Prince Grigol, the male-line descendant of Prince Bagrat, young brother of King Solomon I of Imereti (1752-84).

Hereditary Prince Irakli (b.1925 – d.2013) transmitted his headship over the House of Bagrationi-Imereti to his son David Bagrationi, who transmitted in 2017 the Headship of the House to his son Prince Irakli.^[2]

Survival of dynasty after 1810

• Princess Nino Bagration (1915-2008), former head of the House of Imereti and President of the Bagration Society. She supported the claims of Prince. Nugzar Bagration-Gruzinsky^[3] to the erstwhile Georgian throne. (It is extinct in male line).According to the view of House of Bagrationi - Imereti, Princess Nino Bagrationi had no legitimate rights over the headship of the house.
• Prince David Bagrationi (1948), another head of the House of Imereti. (natural line which continues in male line.)^[4]
• Hereditary Prince Irakli, son of Prince David Bagrationi current head of House of Bagrationi - Imereti.^[5]
