Challenge Ramudu is a 1980 Telugu Action film, produced by Tatineni Prakash Rao under the Anil Productions banner[2] and directed by T. L. V. Prasad.[3] It stars N. T. Rama Rao and Jaya Prada in the lead roles,[4] with music composed by Chakravarthy.[5]
Plot
Vijayaram (N. T. Rama Rao) is a captain of a ship. From his childhood, he has had the habit of making challenges and meeting them. On a journey from Singapore to India he met a beautiful girl, Aruna (Jaya Prada), who is the daughter of Justice Rajashekaram (Gummadi). Vijay's friend Raj makes a challenge with him that he should make Aruna fall in love with him. He takes the challenge and over time they fall in love. After reaching India, Vijay takes Aruna and her younger brother Madhu / Bunty (Master Purushotham) to the picnic where Bunty goes missing. Next day a video film was found in front of their house, which shows his son and an unknown person threatening Rajashekaram to leave his gangster who he has been presently prosecuting in the court, but Rajashekaram did not yield to it. Vijay gets a clue by seeing a painting in the video and finds out that Bunty is in Cochin and decides to protect him. When he says this to foster father Gopalam (Mikkilineni) he starts revealing Vijay's past, including that his entire family is ruined by hardcore criminal James (Satyanarayana) at the same place, Cochin. Now Vijay takes this as a challenge and decides to achieve both targets. Vijay Raju and Aruna reach Cochin and find out that James himself is a kidnapper who changed his name to Raghuram. At last, Jay protects Bunty and takes his revenge against James. Finally, the movie ends with the marriage of Jay and Aruna.
