Prema Zindabad (English: Long Live Love) is a 1990 Telugu comedy film, produced by B. A. V. Sandilya and V. Bhoopal Reddy under the Sangeetha Art Films banner and directed by Jandhyala.[1] It stars Rajendra Prasad and Aiswarya in the lead roles, with music composed by Madhavapeddi Suresh.[2]
Plot
Gopalam (Rajendra Prasad), an innocent guy, decides to marry only his dream girl, whom he has seen in his dream. Meanwhile, he gets a job in a company, where he meets his childhood friend Anjaneyulu (Subhalekha Sudhakar). Afterward, he finds out his dream girl is none other than Anjaneyulu's sister, Bharati (Aishwarya) and both of them fall in love. Therefore, they get ready for the marriage, but there is a small obstruction. Bharati has an elder sister Swarajyam (Vijaya Lakshmi), who loves a guy Kalyan (Sasi Kumar) in their village. The Prakasam (Raja Rao) is greedy towards dowry and Anjineeyulu's father Bose Babu (Subbaraya Sarma) is a patriotic person who is against dowry. Here, Gopalam gives assurance to Anjaneyulu that he will give the money and asks him to give it to Prakasam secretly, believing him, Anjaneyulu gives her word. Gopalam tries in all means to raise the money, but he fails and the marriage breaks in between. Knowing this, Bose Babu collapses because his own children did not respect his values. Now there is a twist in the story, unfortunately, Swarajyam is murdered and the blame comes on Gopalam. The rest of the story is a comic tale, that Gopalam proves his innocence in various forms of disguise, finds out that the real culprits are Prakasam and Gopalam only and gets them arrested. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Gopalam and Bharati.
