Caerwedros (village)
Caerwedros is a small village in western Ceredigion, Wales.
Caerwedros village have a spacious, light & airy, well equipped Memorial Hall – Neuadd Goffa Caerwedros. It has free parking & disabled facilities & is used by the community for a variety of events, including the annual Caerwedros Produce Show held on the first Saturday of August each year.
New Quay & District Country Market have a market in this hall every Thursday morning between 10.00 a.m. & midday where they sell preserves, cakes, savouries, bread, eggs, plants, herbs, flowers, seasonal fruit & vegetables, a wide variety of craft items & books written by local authors. All items they sell are new, home made, home grown or hand crafted by their producers. New producers are always welcome; small volume producers are as welcome as those with more to sell.
Location
Caerwedros is located three miles from New Quay and Cwmtydu beach.
History & Amenities
The site of Caerwedros Castle, is today a mound of earth on the west side of the village. Caerwedros has seen expansion in the last few years by the development of a small number of new houses and bungalows.
