It is connected to some major cities of India viz Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar, Kanpur, Guwahati, Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Porbandar, Lucknow, Guwahati, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga and Bareilly. It holds a historical reference for start of Satyagraha Movement by Mahatma Gandhi.
