Banka Junction railway station is a station operated by Eastern Railway zone located in Banka town of the Indian state of Bihar.[2] It falls under the Malda railway division of the Eastern Railway zone of the Indian Railways.[1] The railway station has 3 platforms. It is connected to Indian cities of Patna, Bhagalpur, (Barahat) Kharhara and Jasidih through daily passenger trains. As of October 2016, four passenger trains originate and just as many depart from the railway station.[3]

History

A seven coach passenger train ran on Jasidih-Banka railway line for the first time on 22 June 2016.[4]
