Asessippi Provincial Park was designated a provincial park by the Government of Manitoba on April 9, 1964.[2] It is located in the Rural Municipality of Riding Mountain West, near Inglis, Manitoba, Canada about 100 km west of Dauphin. The Park is 23.2 km2 (9 sq mi).[2] The park is considered to be a Class III protected area under the IUCN protected area management categories.[3]
The focal point is the Lake of the Prairies also known as Shellmouth Reservoir. The lake has one of the largest walleye fisheries in Manitoba. The Park includes a large campground with over 100 mostly serviced sites.
