2019 Rose Bowl

The 2019 Rose Bowl is a college football bowl game that will be played on January 1, 2019.^[1] It will be the 105th edition of the Rose Bowl Game, and will be one of the 2018–19 bowl games concluding the 2018 FBS football season. Sponsored by the Northwestern Mutual financial services organization, the game will be officially known as the Rose Bowl presented by Northwestern Mutual.

Pre-game activities

"The Melody of Life" is the theme chosen by Pasadena Tournament of Roses president Gerald Freeny.

George Halas (Great Lakes Navy), Randall McDaniel (Arizona State), Pop Warner (Stanford), and Vince Young (Texas) will be inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame prior to the game.

Notes	No games were held from 1903 to 1915. The 1942 game was played at Duke Stadium in Durham, NC, due to the attack on Pearl Harbor. The game was also the national title game for the Bowl Championship Series in 2002 and 2006. The game was a College Football Playoff semifinal in its 2015 and 2018 editions.
