The 1983–84 Iraqi National League was the 10th season of the competition since its foundation in 1974. Al-Jaish won their first Premier League title, and became the fourth club since 1974 to win the league without losing a single match. As champions, the Iraq Football Association admitted them into a friendly tournament called the Marah Halim Cup, and admitted runners-up Al-Talaba into a friendly tournament called the Stafford Cup. Both teams won their respective cups.[1]

Name changes

  • Al-Shorta renamed to Quwat Al-Emen Al-Dakhili.
