This letter appears in the hiragana きゃ (kya), しゃ (sha), ちゃ (cha), にゃ (nya), ひゃ (hya), みゃ (mya), and りゃ (rya); in the dakuten (濁点) ぎゃ (gya), じゃ (ja), and びゃ (bya); and in the handakuten (半濁点) ぴゃ (pya).
