     Section 1438 No engagement shall ground a request for the court to enforce a marriage. Should there by any agreement that a penalty is to be paid in case the engagement contract is breached, such agreement shall be void.

     Section 7 The following provisions shall be inserted in the Civil and Commercial Code as its Section 1447/1 and Section 1447/2: "Section 1447/1 The right to claim compensation under Section 1439 shall be governed by the prescription of six months from the date the engagement contract is breached.

     Section 1435...If the man or woman has not yet attained majority, the consent of his or her father and mother must be obtained before they can be engaged. Had the father or mother died, the consent of the one living still is required.
