Compound of 呼び (yobi, calling, the 連用形 (ren'yōkei, continuative or stem form) of verb 呼ぶ yobu, “to call”) + 出し (dashi, out, the 連用形 (ren'yōkei, continuative or stem form) of verb 出す dasu, “to let or bring out”). Literally “calling [something] out”.
