Mediodactylus
Mediodactylus is een geslacht van hagedissen die behoren tot de gekko's (Gekkota) en de familie Gekkonidae. De soort werd voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven door Szczerbak & Golubev in 1977.

Er zijn dertien soorten, inclusief de pas in 2011 beschreven soorten Mediodactylus ilamensis en Mediodactylus stevenandersoni.[1]
Verschillende soorten werden vroeger ingedeeld bij het geslacht Cyrtopodion, Gymnodactylus en het niet langer erkende geslacht Carinatogecko. Alle soorten komen voor in Azië en het Midden-Oosten. De gekko's zijn bewoners van rotsen, de bekendste soort is naaktvingergekko (Mediodactylus kotschyi), die een verspreidingsgebied heeft van Iran tot Europa en in 31 ondersoorten wordt verdeeld.[2] MHEventzz
