India op de Olympische Zomerspelen 1964
India nam deel aan de Olympische Zomerspelen 1964 in Tokio, Japan. Vier jaar eerder maakte Pakistan een eind aan de reeks van zes opeenvolgende zeges in het hockeytoernooi. Dit keer werd met succes revanche genomen op datzelfde Pakistan. Deze gouden medaille zou de laatste blijken te zijn voor langere tijd. Pas in 1980 won India weer opnieuw goud; wederom door het hockeyteam.
