Uruguay nam deel aan de Olympische Zomerspelen 1964 in Tokio, Japan. Nadat op de vorige editie geen enkele medaille werd gehaald, werd nu brons gewonnen. Het zou tot 2000 duren voordat Uruguay opnieuw een medaille zou winnen.
