De Football League Cup 1960/61 was de eerste editie van de strijd om deze Engelse voetbalbeker. Het toernooi begon op 26 september 1960 en eindigde op 5 september 1961 met de finale (replay) op Villa Park in Birmingham. In totaal deden 87 clubteams mee aan het toernooi. Aston Villa won de eerste editie van dit bekertoernooi.
