Amphiesma

Amphiesma is een geslacht van slangen uit de familie waterslangen (Natricidae). Dit geslacht werd lange tijd tot de familie gladde slangen (Colubridae) gerekend.[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van het geslacht werd in 1854 voorgesteld door André Marie Constant Duméril, Gabriel Bibron en Auguste Henri André Duméril. Vertegenwoordigers van dit geslacht komen voor in delen van Azië.
