Routing

In Milwaukee County, Wisconsin 59 (Wis 59) is routed along National Avenue and Greenfield Avenue. The eastern and southern portion of the bypass highway around Waukesha (US Highway 18 and Wisconsin Highway 59/164) is dedicated as the Les Paul Parkway in honor of Les Paul. Wis 59 continues southwest of Waukesha to the town of Eagle where the route heads more westerly to Palmyra and Whitewater. Wis 59 then is cosigned with US Highway 12 around the southside of Whitewater for 2 miles. Wis 59 then turns southwest to head to Milton. It intersects with Interstate 39/Interstate 90 at Newville after crossing the Rock River. Wis 59 continues west through Edgerton to US Highway 14. After a short cosign south, it splits from US 14 at Evansville. Wis 59 heads south with Wis 213 for 3 miles before splitting west and going toward Monroe ending at Wis 11.
