Zidanšek has career-high WTA rankings of No. 56 in singles, achieved on 22 July 2019, and No. 91 in doubles, achieved on 23 September 2019. She has won one doubles title on the WTA Tour and two WTA 125K singles titles, as well as 17 singles and four doubles titles on the ITF Circuit.

She is a former top 20 junior and she had made a perfect professional debut in 2014 at her home in Velenje, passing three qualifying rounds to go all the way in the main draw and claim the first title on the pro level still at the age of 16.[2] On the junior tour, Zidanšek had a career-high ranking of No. 16, achieved in December 2015.

She has represented Slovenia in the Fed Cup, where she has a win/loss record of 6–7.
