On Everything

"On Everything" is a song by American musician DJ Khaled featuring American rappers Travis Scott, Rick Ross and Big Sean. It appeared on Khaled's tenth studio album, Grateful (2017). The song was written by DJ Khaled, Travis Scott, Rick Ross, Big Sean and Danja, the latter also co-produced it with Khaled. The song contains a recurring sample of "Under the Sun" by Mark Pritchard.

Background and release

On February 9, 2017, Khaled announced that his new album would be called Grateful.[1] On June 5, 2017, he announced the album's release date and revealed the artwork, which features his son Asahd.[2] On June 9, Khaled released the album's track listing, which also included "On Everything" featuring Travis Scott, Rick Ross and Big Sean.[3] Grateful was released on June 23.[3]

Music video

The music video for the song, directed by Eif Rivera, premiered via Khaled's Vevo channel on June 23, 2017.[4] Nate Todd from AXS wrote; "Cinematically, the video is stunning. It appears to have been partially filmed in some kind of gothic cathedral but also contains vibrant colors much like previous Grateful videos. It also seems to be a nod to gangster movies like Scarface or Belly. But perhaps the most interesting part of the video is its cliffhanger ending."[5] Noisey's Alex Robert Ross gave the video a negative review, saying that it is "dumb" and just a "standard DJ Khaled video".[6]
