Metro Eduardo Molina

Metro Eduardo Molina (Spanish: Estación Eduardo Molina) is a station on Line 5 of the Mexico City Metro.[2][3] It is a surface station that lies within the median of Avenida Río Consulado.[2] It serves the Colonia Malinche and Colonia 20 de Noviembre neighborhoods of Mexico City.[2] The station was opened on 19 December 1981.[4]

Its logo represents a part of the masterpiece El Agua, Origen de la Vida (The water, origin of life) by Diego Rivera.[2] It represents two hands taking water.[2][3] The station is named in honor of Eduardo Molina, an important engineer, who solved the problem of water scarcity in the 1960s in Mexico.[2]

From 23 April to 15 June 2020, the station was temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico.[5][6]
