Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology

The Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT) is a technical university located in the city of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 1962 as Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College affiliated with Gorakhpur University, the college became affiliated with Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, in 2000, granted the status of "autonomous institute" by the UGC in 2011 and University status in 2013.

Bachelor of Technology The university offers a Bachelor of Technology degree course of four years duration in the following fields:

Master of Technology The university offers twelve full-time M.Tech. programmes in Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical and Computer Sc. & Engineering Departments.

Master of Computer Applications A three-year M.C.A. Programme has been offered since the 1987-88 session. The present intake is 60.

Master of Business Administration The Centre for Management Studies of the University came into existence in 2001. Since then, it has been offering a full-time MBA programme under self -finance scheme. The courses, as prescribed by Gautam Buddha Technical University with dual specialization, are as follows

Master of Science in Physics (Electronics) A two-year M.Sc. Programme in Physics (Electronics) has been offered since the 2018-19 session. The present intake is 32.

Ph.D. courses The university is approved by A.I.C.T.E. to award Ph.D. degrees under the Quality Improvement Programme. The total intake for Ph.D. under QIP is eight (two seats in each of the four disciplines, EE, EC, CE and ME). BBA Recently they announced the admission for BBA

Admissions

Under Graduate Admissions[1]

  • Undergraduate admissions until 2016 were being done through the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE). Post the college is recognised as deemed university the admission to UG courses, is through an admission test conducted by MMMUT named as MET.

Post Graduate Admissions[2]

  • Admission to the course will be made by Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur through Malaviya Entrance Test. Reservation rules are followed in admissions as per norms of UP Govt./MMMUT,Gorakhpur.
