Overall league positions (1959–2017)

The overall list of league positions of 69 participant football clubs since the establishment of Süper Lig in 1959 are as follows:[44] In the 1959 season no matches were played for classification of league positions. Only the final matches between group winners Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray are considered. Also in the 1962-63 season there was no classification for the relegated clubs. Therefore, when calculating average position clubs with no rank are not counted.
