"Feel the Love" is a song by American hip hop duo Kids See Ghosts, composed of Kanye West and Kid Cudi, released as the first track off their eponymous debut album Kids See Ghosts (2018). The song includes a feature from American rapper Pusha T. The verse is rapped by Pusha T, West makes gun noises and Cudi sings the chorus.

Background

Pusha T's feature on "Feel the Love" was recorded less than ten hours before the release of the album.[1] Coming before any verses from Kids See Ghosts, his appearance stands as the album's first verse.[2]

Composition
The song features a verse from rapper Pusha T.

Pusha T has the only full verse on the track.[2] West contributes gun noises to it, which are reminiscent of his nonsensical performance on the single "Lift Yourself".[3][4][5] Kid Cudi sings "I can still feel the love" on the chorus.[2] The song is the only one on the album that includes no references to religion.[3]

Release

The song was released on June 8, 2018 as part of Kids See Ghosts.[6] On the day of the album's release, multiple tracks were mislabeled on streaming services, including "Feel the Love", which was mislabeled as the third track on the album, "4th Dimension".[7][8]

Commercial performance

Upon the release of Kids See Ghosts, the song charted at number 47 on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart.[9][10] The song performed best on the Canadian Hot 100, reaching number 35 on the chart in the week of the album's release.[11]

Usage in media

"Feel the Love" was used in the Xbox commercial 'Jumping' in October 2018.[12] The commercial was released as part of Xbox's Jump in campaign.[12] The song, mixed with the DJ Snake song, Frequency 75, from the Carte Blanche album, was also used in the official trailer for the upcoming Fast & Furious entry, F9, scheduled to release on April 2, 2021.[13]
