Dysart, County Roscommon
Dysart (Irish: An Díseart)[1] is a village in County Roscommon, Ireland.[2] It lies 20 km (12 mi) from the centre of Athlone, on the R363 regional road. Located at the crossroads of the R363 and the R357, the village was formerly known as 'Thomas Street'.

Dysart village has two public houses, a grocery store, community centre, football pitch (home of Dysart F.C.), and a Roman Catholic graveyard and church (St. Patrick's).
Sport
The local association football (soccer) club, Dysart F.C., was formed in June 1971. In 1972, Dysart F.C. purchased its present property at a cost of £1400 with money was borrowed from the people of the parish on an interest-free loan. All that money has been paid back since. The first match played was a challenge Dysart v Four Roads, 8-a-side, which ended 2 all. A parish league (7-a-side) was played in 1971 with 3 teams: Dysart (village), Ballintleva and Feevagh. Feevagh came out on top with 3 wins and 1 draw.

Dysyort appears as Distort in the manuscript and is corrected to Dysort by a second hand. This is Dysart parish in county Roscommon.76 The vicarage of Disert, forming part of the diocese of Elphin is mentioned in the royal taxation list
