Apastovsky District
Apastovsky District (Russian: Апа́стовский райо́н; Tatar: Cyrillic Апас районы, Latin Apas rayonı) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), one of the forty-three in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is located in the west of the republic. The area of the district is 1,047.5 square kilometers (404.4 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Apastovo.[2] Population: 21,627 (2010 Census);[4] 23,105 (2002 Census);[9] 39,132 (1989 Census).[10] The population of Apastovo accounts for 23.8% of the district's total population.[4]
