2020 Supercoppa Italiana

The 2020 Supercoppa Italiana will be the 33rd edition of the Supercoppa Italiana, the Italian football super cup. It will be played in the 2020–21 season by Napoli, the winners of the 2019–20 Coppa Italia, and by the winners of the 2019–20 Serie A championship.[1]

Background

The 2020 Supercoppa Italiana will be the fourth time Napoli takes part in the competition, having already participated as Serie A champions once (1990) and as Coppa Italia winners twice (2012, 2014). Napoli won two of the previous three editions in which they played.[2]

Match rules

  • 90 minutes.
  • 30 minutes of extra time if necessary.
  • Penalty shoot-out if scores still level.
  • Twelve named substitutes, of which up to three may be used.
