Winnabow, North Carolina, is a place in Brunswick County in the U.S. states of North Carolina. It is located at 34°08′57″N 78°05′36″W / 34.14917°N 78.09333°W / 34.14917; -78.09333 It is mainly a farming community with ample farm land in the surrounding area. There are no big stores in the area except for a Hand Dee Hugo's at the intersection of NC 87 and US Highway 17 South. Mill Creek Farm and Garden Center is the feed store for the area and is set right beside Willetts Farm. Winnabow also has a privately owned International Airport "Winnabow International Airport"

It is a home to many families, most have lived in the area for generations. As there isn’t much to occupy late teenage, and young adult minds lots hang out on dirt roads “mudding” or drinking and “barbecueing” by a fire. Which they may have at the hunting lodge, on a before mentioned dirt rd (by what they call the tracks or by the towers), or in their own yards. Or enjoying the “Mudbog”. Which is a competition where trucks drive threw and “dig up” mud holes to compete to see who can make it threw the holes, and make it threw with the fastest speed, and maybe “flare”. These activities are actually things that ALL generations enjoy doing, as many grew up participating in such or similar activities. The older generation is stuck in their ways and the younger generation that have “idle hands” sometimes turn to drugs as away to “party” or even to live day to day. But the majority find solace in neighboring towns to have fun, work, or go to college. Overall it’s a very peaceful and beautiful town. Just 20-30 minutes away from Wilmington, NC, 20-30 minutes away from Southport, NC and one hour to two hours from Myrtle Beach, NC.
