Western Sydney Institute

TAFE - Western Sydney Institute (WSI) now forms a part of TAFE NSW, Australia's largest education and training provider. WSI and all TAFE NSW Institutes were united as one 'TAFE NSW' in an ongoing process starting in 2017. WSI training was delivered on-site in the workplace as well as at the former Institute's three colleges at Nirimba, The Hills and Parramatta. It annually enrols more than 90,000 students and offers around 1,000 vocational education courses.

The administrative centre of the Institute is located at Kingswood in the far west of Sydney, Australia. The Institute employs approximately 1,450 full-time and 2,500 part-time staff. The Institute also has an international delivery arm and students from approximately 35 countries study with WSI. It also operates the Building Industry Skills Centre (BISC) at Castle Hill.

WSI offers entry level courses for people looking to start their education, Certificate to Advanced Diploma level courses for people looking for career-related skills, and short courses for people looking to advance their skills and careers. Additionally, many courses have credit transfer arrangements with universities for people looking to go on to or returning from university.
