Western Institute of TAFE

TAFE NSW The Western Institute now forms part of TAFE NSW, Australia's largest vocational education and training provider. The Western Institute and all TAFE NSW Institutes were united as one 'TAFE NSW' in an ongoing process starting in 2017.

The Institute services more than half the area of NSW, including some of Australia's most isolated and remote communities, and manages over 32, 000 student enrolments each year. The Western Institute training was delivered at the former Institute's 24 campuses at Bathurst, Bourke, Brewarrina, Broken Hill, Cobar, Condobolin, Coonamble, Cowra, Dubbo, Dunedoo, Forbes, Gilgandra, Grenfell, Lighting Ridge, Lithgow, Menindee, Mudgee, Nyngan, Orange, Parkes, Walgett, Warren, Wellington and Wilcannia.

The courses offered includes certificate, diploma and advanced diploma in career related skills programmes for those who would like to start or enhance their skills. The credits earned could be transferred to universities as well.[1]
