Velakot (Gujarati: વેળાકોટ) is a village / panchayat[3][4] located in the Gir Gadhada Taluka of Gir Somnath district in Gujarat State, India. Earlier, until August 2013, Velakot was part of Una Taluka and Junagadh district.[5] The latitude 20.873284 and longitude 70.884042 are the geo-coordinate of the Village Velakot. Gandhinagar is the state capital of Velakot village which is located around 400 kilometres away from Velakot.
