South Korea-based girl group Twice have released two studio albums, one compilation album, three reissues, five extended plays, one compilation extended play, and fourteen singles. Formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015 through the survival show Sixteen, Twice debuted in October 2015 with the release of their first EP, The Story Begins, and its single "Like Ooh-Ahh".

Twice's second EP, Page Two, and its lead single "Cheer Up", were released in April 2016. "Cheer Up" debuted at No. 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart, making the group's first No. 1 hit on that chart and eventually becoming the best-performing digital song of 2016 in South Korea.[1] In October 2016, the group released their third EP, Twicecoaster: Lane 1 with the single "TT". The EP became the best-selling album by a K-pop girl group and the fifth overall in 2016, selling 350,852 units at year-end.[2] In August 2018, it was reported that Twicecoaster: Lane 1 had surpassed 424,109 sales, becoming the highest-selling album by a K-pop girl group since The Boys (2011) by Girls' Generation, which sold nearly 465,000 copies.[3][4]

In February 2017, Twicecoaster: Lane 1 was reissued as Twicecoaster: Lane 2 with the new single "Knock Knock", which eventually became the year's best-performing digital song by an idol group in South Korea.[5] Twice's fourth EP, Signal, along with the single of the same name, was released in May. Their first studio album, Twicetagram, was released in October with the single "Likey", and reissued as Merry & Happy with the single "Heart Shaker" in December. Continuing the group's streak of numbers ones, all of their singles released in 2017 topped the Gaon Digital Chart. Twicetagram, Signal, and Twicecoaster: Lane 2 all sold over 270,000 copies, becoming the top three best-selling albums by a K-pop girl group in 2017.[6]

Twice debuted in Japan in June 2017 with their first compilation album, #Twice. In its first week, the album sold over 136,157 units and became the highest Japanese first week debut among K-pop girl groups since Super Girl (2011) by Kara, which sold over 275,000 copies in its opening week.[7][8] #Twice was subsequently certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) by selling over 260,000 physical copies.[9] The group's first Japanese original single, "One More Time", was released in October 2017. The single achieved the biggest first-day sales and became the fastest-selling single by any South Korean girl group in Japan.[10] It is also the first single by a K-pop girl group that earned a platinum certification by the RIAJ in history.[11] Twice's second Japanese single, "Candy Pop" (released in February 2018), was also certified platinum by the RIAJ. "Wake Me Up" (released in April 2018) was certified double platinum by RIAJ, selling more than half million shipments in Japan.[12]

Twice is considered as one of the best-selling artists in South Korea, with over 2.2 million albums sold in the country as of April 2018, scoring nine top three albums and six No. 1 albums on the Gaon Album Chart.[13][14] In Japan, Twice recorded a total sales of 1.54 billion yen in 2017, making them the highest-selling rookie artist in that year.[15] 1 million copies of their Japanese releases were sold in Japan as of February 2018.[16]
