Thynes is a commune in Dinant, Wallonia region of Belgium.[1] Crossed by a stream, the Lisonnette, which flows into the Leffe village is today administratively part of the city of Dinant, Walloon Region of Belgium. It was a commune in its own right before the 1977 merger of the communes.
Heritage
Heritage Thynes Castle Farm, the oldest parts of which date back to the year 1077. The Romanesque crypt (in the old cemetery) is what remains of the old St. Nicholas Church demolished in the nineteenth century. The Church of St. Nicholas was built in 1835 to replace the old church demolished.
