The Real Housewives of Dallas (abbreviated RHOD) is an American reality television series that premiered on April 11, 2016 on Bravo. Developed as the ninth installment of The Real Housewives franchise, following The Real Housewives of Orange County, New York City, Atlanta, New Jersey, D.C., Beverly Hills, Miami and Potomac, it is currently in its third season and focuses on the personal and professional lives of several women living in Dallas, Texas.

The series originally focused on Cary Deuber, Stephanie Hollman, LeeAnne Locken, Brandi Redmond and Tiffany Hendra. The cast currently consists of Deuber, Hollman, Locken, Redmond, D'Andra Simmons, and Kameron Westcott. Of the original housewives, Hendra departed after the first season. The remaining housewives joined in later seasons: Simmons and Westcott in the second.

Overview and casting

The Real Housewives of Dallas was announced in November 15, 2015 as the ninth installment of The Real Housewives franchise.[1] The first season premiered on April 11, 2016, and starred Cary Deuber, Tiffany Hendra, Stephanie Hollman, LeeAnne Locken and Brandi Redmond. While Marie Reyes appeared in a recurring capacity.[2] After the first season, Hendra left the show.[3] The second season premiered on August 14, 2017, with D’Andra Simmons and Kameron Westcott joining the cast, and Hendra appearing in a guest capacity.[4]

In April 2018, the show was renewed for a third season,[5] which later premiered on August 15, 2018.

Broadcast

The Real Housewives of Dallas airs on the Bravo cable network in the United States; the first episode premiered on Monday at 10/9pm ET/PT on April 11, 2016.[6] Internationally, the series premiered in Australia on Arena on April 12, within hours of the American broadcast.[7] In New Zealand, The Real Housewives of Dallas began airing in July 2016, on Bravo upon the channels inception.[8] In the United Kingdom, the series began airing in October 2016, on ITVBe.[9]
