Team Bath are part of the Netball Superleague (UK), which consists of the top ten netball teams in England, Scotland and Wales. Team Bath is the brand name of the University of Bath's sports operation. The club is located in Bath, Somerset, South West England, and play their home games at the University's Sports Training Village.[1] The Team Bath franchise represents the South West and West of England.
History
Team Bath are the nation's most successful Netball Superleague team, winning five of the campaigns contested to date with victories in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2013.[2] They also won the 2013 Cathedral City Lighter FastNet Grand Prix, winning all five of their matches, and were runners-up in the inaugural British Fast5 All-Stars Championship in 2017.
Head coach of the Superleague team is Anna Stembridge (née Mayes), while the director of netball is Jess Thirlby (née Garland).
Team Bath Netball are sponsored by Sitec, Mogers Drewett and Investigo are their Partners, Centurion Chartered Financial Planning are supporting the team’s performance analysis capabilities, Viper 10 are the kit supplier and Skins provide the team with compression wear.

The 2018 Vitality Superleague season saw Team Bath finish fourth in the table to reach the semi-finals for a 12th time.[3]

2017 Season
The 2017 Team Bath Netball Superleague squad was made up of Eboni Beckford-Chambers (captain), Imogen Allison, Samantha Cook, Layla Guscoth, Chelsea Lewis, Paige Reed, Mia Ritchie, Laura Rudland, Jess Shaw, Rachel Shaw and Jamaica internationals Shantal Slater and Vangelee Williams.[4]
After a slow start to the season, Team Bath won seven games in a row to finish fourth in the table and reach the semi-finals, where they were beaten by Loughborough Lightning. They went on to finish fourth overall after defeat to Manchester Thunder in the third-place play-off.[5]

2016 Season
The 2016 Team Bath Netball squad was made up of Eboni Beckford-Chambers (captain), Samantha Cook, Claire Brownie, Shaunagh Craig, Nicole Humphrys, Alana John, Chelsea Lewis, Karla Mostert, Sarah Penny, Lenize Potgieter, Mia Ritchie, Laura Rudland, Rachel Shaw, Amanda Varey and Jo Vann.[6] University of Bath students Humphrys and Rudland replaced Jazz Scott and Asha Francis, who had to withdraw from the squad once the season had started.
Team Bath reached the Superleague semi-finals by finishing fourth in the final table, level on points with Surrey Storm and Hertfordshire Mavericks in second and third respectively. Manchester Thunder topped the table.[7]
Team Bath lost 53-46 at Manchester Thunder in the semi-finals but beat Hertfordshire Mavericks 49-48 in the third-place play-off to finish the season as bronze medallists.
