Stephen Francis Lecce (born November 26, 1986) is a Canadian politician. He is a member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario for the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario. Lecce is the Deputy Government House Leader, the Parliamentary Assistant to Minister of Infrastructure Monte McNaughton, and the Parliamentary Assistant to Premier Doug Ford.
Early life
Lecce was born in Vaughan, Ontario on November 26, 1986. As a teenager, Lecce worked on former PC MPP Al Palladini’s successful re-election campaign in 1999.[1]
Early career
Stephen attended University of Western Ontario for his undergraduate studies in political science. There, he was elected and served as President of Western's University Students' Council (Canada).[2] While studying at Western, he was initiated into the Sigma Chi Fraternity, eventually serving as President of the Western Chapter.[3]
Lecce owns a public relations consultancy firm.[1]
Political career
Lecce ran as a Progressive Conservative in the riding of King—Vaughan on June 7, 2018 and won.[1] He received 29,136 votes (56.62%).[4] On June 29, 2018, Lecce became the Parliamentary Assistant to Monte McNaughton, the Minister of Infrastructure.[5] On July 31, Lecce became Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier.[6]
